Painting wildlife in watercolor can be challenging, Using the knowledge and skills that we learned in the first two workshops will give you an advantage. During this 3-day workshop we will cover painting fur in an expressive manner, how to paint realistic eyes and how to paint the feathers of owls and other birds in an interruptive way.
Several techniques will be taught to help you stay loose and suggestive with your image. If you are just joining us in this workshop series and haven’t studied with me before I would highly recommend that you have some good basic fundamental skills and knowledge of the medium and its pigments. Several images and drawings will be provided for your practice during the workshop. We will also be doing a closeup of an eye for you to have as a future reference. Advanced level students are encouraged to work from their own photos and drawings.
The cost of the workshop is $250.00. A deposit of $100.00 is required to secure your space. A more detailed supply list will be provided upon receiving your deposit. Set up for the workshop begins daily at 9:30am and the lecture and demonstration begins promptly at 10am. Bring a brown bag lunch.
